Reflections of our Boating life for 40 years.  I have attempted to capture power, movement, the sea's personality and my own emotions in these paintings.  In my youth I sailed to Tahiti and spent a year working and enjoying Polynesia.  Most originals are in private collections but Limited Edition Enhanced Giclees are available 

Excitment, power, and emotions are all part and parcel of Horse Racing.  Trying to capture the energy and movment is indeed a challenge.  This paintings are painted on 100% cotton Linters which if held up to the light will be translucent and emotional.  Both originals are in private Collections but Limited Edition Enhanced Giclees are available.  A 3rd painting is on the easel and it is 80% complete. 

Plein Air painting and taking painting photographs is a labor of love.  Waiting for the right light and atmospheric conditions for the image are all part of the artistic process.

France and Italy have such charm and history that every window, door, road and village holds a story and a painting ready and waiting. 

The animals and birds of this world are so related to our souls that observing and painting them has been enjoyable and rewarding.

Gardens and flowers are magical  works of art by GOD and nature and I am stunned by their beauty.  My attempts to capture them pale in contrast to the real deal.  I grow them, nuture, paint and pick them as often as I can. 

With 4 years studing Architecture and a 5 th year ending in a degree in Architectural Engineering and practicing Architectural and Civil Engineering for 17 years you can imagine that my eyes are structured and disciplined.  The difficult part for me are the abstracts and organic shapes that allow the viewer to imagine an object or a feeling.  The true test for me as an artist is to joint the two styles together

Portraits are the most difficult paintings for me and therefore I have refused many commission request over the years .  Catching the likeness of a person is challenging at best.  This portrait of my friend Lloyd K. was completed after he won his 1st battle with cancer. He will be ever present in my mind.

These images were photographed in Italy on one of our trips to our favorite place on this earth.  These subjects jumped out at us around every corner as we walked in the villages and I then printed them in sepia and enhanced them from memory.  These professionally done Giclee prints are printed on canvas or high quality watercolor paper using the finest archival Epson Inks.  Each giclee is in a Limited Edition  which is then enhanced and signed, numbered with a certificated of authenticity signed by the artist and the Printer. Shipping and handling is $10/print. 

These are images shot while on a trip in the inland waterway throughout Southwest Alaska.  Every cove and Inlet is a serene and natural palace with Majestic Peaks in abundance .  These photos are professionally reproduced as Giclee prints using the finest of Epson Inks.  Each Giclee is signed by the artist and numbered with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist and the printer.  Shipping and handling is $10 per Giclee.
